The Water Division has charge of the operation, maintenance, and inspection of the Cedar City Waterworks System.

This includes:

  • Transmission and distribution lines
  • Mains
  • Storage facilities
  • Wells
  • Sources of supply
  • Water meters

Water Rate Structure

Cedar City’s water rate structure is based on the current needs and usage of residents and businesses. The rates are designed to encourage wise use of our water and conservation.

The Water Division works around the clock to provide top-quality water to every tap. We ask that all our customers help us protect our water sources (which are the heart of our community), our way of life, and our children’s future.

Annual Watering Times and Restrictions

MANDATORY - Per City Ordinance 37-7-1, from April 1st thru October  31st, please do not irrigate your lawn with culinary water between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Subsequent violations of this ordinance may result in a citation. This ordinance is mandatory and is in effect every year.
