About Us

Mission
Cedar City Events Division promotes, recruits, develops, and facilitates events that have a positive economic impact and support the community's cultural standards. As part of the Cedar City Economic Development department, the Events Division develops a series of events to support the Festival City USA brand, playing a critical role in promoting Cedar City's assets and facilities with research-driven marketing, premium content, strategic partnerships, and a strong community volunteer base. Four main areas exist for the division.

Vision

To provide Cedar City a diversity of outstanding experiences that increase overall visitation, raise Festival City brand awareness, and, ultimately, fulfill the visionary roadmap set in place by Cedar City's culture and heritage.

	Love Where You Live FEBRUARY 2023 We LOVE Cedar City and we know many of our community and visitors do too! LEARN MORE		Cedar City Half Marathon SEPTEMBER 9, 2023 This popular, closed-canyon half marathon takes runners down the breathtaking Cedar Canyon. The 13.1-mile course is one of the nation’s fastest, with runners descending from 8,400 feet to 5,600 feet at the finish line. REGISTER

	Spring Fiesta MAY 5, 2023 Kick-off the summer with the Slow Roll community bike ride! Join the Cedar City Active Transportation Committee for a family-friendly-block-party experience, with live entertainment, food trucks, vendors and MORE!		NOVEMBER 2023 Join the Historic Preservation Committee for Cedar City’s birthday. The three-day celebration will commemorate the history, struggles, and accomplishments of Cedar City's residents.
	Moonwalk & 5K Run July 29, 2023 If you like to run at night or howl at the moon, come out for the Moonwalk and 5k Run on the Cedar City Trail System.		Downtown Lighting Ceremony November 25, 2023 Usher in the Christmas season at our Downtown Lighting Ceremony. Join us as we turn on the lights in Historic Downtown with a holiday feast for the senses of music, hot chocolate and a surprise visit from the Jolly Old Elf himself.
