Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) or "Drones" have become one of the largest concerns to aviation safety.
We here at Cedar City want to provide as much information as possible to sustain a safe flying environment for our pilots and drone operators.
Follow these steps below to ensure you are following all rules and regulations when operating a Unmanned Aircraft System.
  • Go to the Federal Aviation Administration's Website and ensure your drone is registered for commercial or recreational use at  FAADroneZone
  • Download the new B4UFLY app available to download for free at the App Store for iOS and Google Play store for Android to use the interactive mobile app or you can click this link to find your "No Fly" zones
  • If a waiver is needed to fly in a "No Fly" area, visit this link for waiver application instructions.
Cedar City Regional Airport does not control the airspace. UAS operational waivers must be submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration at least 90 days before any UAS flight in controlled airspace.

For more information regarding local drone operation please follow the link https://www.faa.gov/uas/ or contact Airport Operations at 435-867-9408 Ex. #5
